Loco Lunch Boxes Are Here….
I was recently gifted an El Pollo Loco gift box to help celebrate the launch of their new boxes. when the box arrived, I was elated. As a foodie, I always eating anything that my body craves.
They gifted me with this cute Loco Lunch Box below which came with a gift card, utensils, mug, and a blanket. The gift card had enough money on it for one box, however I had a El Pollo Loco coupon for a free box with the purchase of $10.99. Long story short, I got two different boxes!
…….I was way too happy!
What comes in the Loco Boxes?
El Pollo Loco boxes comes with four different options which includes chips, rice and beans cup and a churro.
What are the options?
- 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨: Citrus-marinated, fire-grilled chicken, fresh handmade guacamole, pinto beans, shredded cabbage and sour cream, wrapped in a flour tortilla and topped with queso fresco and house-made pico de gallo.
- 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐩 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐬: Two tacos made with corn and flour blend artisanal tortillas and filled with shrimp cooked in a chipotle and garlic marinade, and topped with fresh shredded cabbage, house-made pico de gallo and Baja chipotle sauce.

What are the prices for the Loco Boxes?
While prices may vary by location, Loco Lunch Boxes typically go for between $6.99 and $7.99 each, depending on the location/region.
For the amount of food you get in the boxes, it’s definitely worth the money. El Pollo’s menu is very affordable and is a healthier options very a lot other fast food chains.
How long is this deal lasting?
According to an El Pollo Loco rep, the Loco Boxes will continue to be on the menu now and throughout the Summer. Definitely plenty of time to snag a box or two.
What boxes did I try?
I got the Chicken Guacamole Burrito and Chicken Avocado Gordita Boxes. I chose those two because I new they would look more photogenic and they would fill me up! As you see below, they are so pretty and I didn’t need to edit or style them.
Let’s cross fingers that I get another El Pollo Loco coupon to try the other two boxes.
What are my thoughts?
For what you get for price and food, it definitly worth trying. The burrito and Gordita was on point and very flavorful. I would only say that I love cheddar cheese + spice and if they would of added that in, it would be 10 across the board for both.
The rice and bean cups were pretty good. I would love it had a spicy kick to it. If you want to make a mini nacho dish, I would mix together the salsas + rice and Beans in a small bowl. Then place tortilla chips on a plate and add mixture on top. If you have sour cream and cheese in your fridge, add those in as well.
Now to the churros, they are always a great treat. However, El Pollo Loco needs some sweet dipping sauce like Dulce de leche, or Chocolate to make it a 10. If they had those options, people like me would buy those Churros in bulk!
