If you are just now finding out about the Oreo and Krispy Kreme Doughnut Collaboration, sadly they don’t have them any more. The collaboration started early April and ended April 18th. Luckily for me, I was able to try both Oreo Donuts that Krispy Kreme offered.

What were the options?

The first option, called The Oreo Cookie Glazed Doughnut was stuffed with ‘Cookies and Kreme’ filling and coated with icing and cookie crumbles.

The second option, called Oreo Cookie Over-The-Top Doughnut featured all the same elements as the classic, but topped off with extra filling, icing and an oversized Oreo Cookie.

What are my thoughts about presentation?

When I first arrived to my local shop, I honestly was shocked how pretty they were. Why? The reason is because my local Krispy Kreme doesn’t really make the donuts how they are advertised. It was really incredible that all the donuts looked identical. See below.

On a scale from 1-10 on presentation, 10 across the board. Best part is that I didn’t have to edit or use special lighting to capture their beauty.

What was the cost?

They were both only $1.99. By the way, if you sign up for Krispy Kreme Rewards Program, you get a FREE donut for signing up. There is no cost to sign up! I definitly got my free donut, as you see below.

What are my thoughts on taste?

Over the taste was what I thought it would be, so yummy! Everything from the cream, to the giant Oreo was everything. The texture of the donuts were soft and the giant Oreo cookie was the texture of an ice cream sandwich.

Just thinking about it, I wish I could have cut the filled donut in half. It would of been nice to show you the filling inside. It was stuffed perfectly. I seriously wonder how they do it.

The hype was real!

I can’t wait for them to bring these two back. As of now, Krispy Kreme does has a permanent Oreo Donut on their menu called, OREO Cookies and Kreme Doughnut. It’s supposably a fan favorite! It is filled with OREO Cookies and Kreme filling, dipped in dark chocolate icing and topped with OREO cookie pieces.
