Scrumptious Barbecue Honey Wings

As you may know, Labor Day Weekend is around the corner. This year it falls on September 6th and I’m so ready to eat. One of my favorite things to make are chicken wings loaded with barbecue sauce.

I can eat fifty wings in one sitting. Just thinking about them, makes me drool. Anyways, ⁣my recipe for these juicy Barbecue Honey Wings are loaded with flavor that are slightly sweet and tangy. They’re just the tiniest bit sticky—exactly the way they should be.⁣

Can I make this Keto?

Yes you can. The ingredients and instructions are towards the end and they taste is about the same.

You can’t consume honey on Keto, however below are great substitutes.

  1. Stevia
  2. Sucralose
  3. Erythritol
  4. Xylitol
  5. Monk Fruit Sweetener
  6. Yacon Syrup

However, their are three different types of cooking directions you can choose from. They are all listed in the directions towards the end. My favorite way is using an Air Fryer and the reasons are below.

  • Faster than the oven: Oven baked wings are amazing, but they can take 30 minutes to an hour to cook and get that great crispy skin. Wings in the air fryer only take about 20 minutes!
  • Crispy Skin: When using an air fryer, you end up with a crispy product that’s just as good as if it were truly “fried”, without the extra calories!

What dipping sauce(s) can be used?

You can enjoy these wings by themselves or with any of the sauces below.

1) Creamy Ranch

2) Blue Cheese

3) Sriracha

4) Honey Mustard

What sides vegetables can I use?

1) Celery

2) Carrots

3) Cucumber

4) Cauliflower

Note: You can use all four.

In an electric skillet or deep fryer, heat oil to 375°. Fry wings, a few at a time, until no longer pink, 3-4 minutes on each side. ⁣
